Riva Split has been declared a finalist for the 5th European Prize for Urban Public Space. This Prize is an initiative that the Centre de Cultura Contempor?nia de Barcelona (CCCB) co-organises with the Architecture Foundation of London (AF), the Architekturzentrum Wien (Az W), la Cité de l´Architecture et du Patrimoine of Paris, the Suomen Rakennustaiteen Museo of Helsinki (SRM) and the Nederlands Architectuurinstituut of Rotterdam (NAI). The Prize aims to foster and recognise the process of recovering the public dimension of urban spaces in Europe, as well as its capacity for social inclusion and democracy-building. This year, 176 projects from twenty-six European countries presented for the Prize.
