Rimac Campus
Sveta Nedelja

The construction of Rimac Campus aims to unify all segments of the company in one place, enabling the seamless connection of development processes and production. Located in Sveta Nedelja, near Zagreb, the campus encompasses business, development, and production areas, along with supporting facilities for visitors and employees.
The project is planned in phases, which include the construction of the production facility, office building, and landscaping. The campus is defined by a glazed office building and a large enclosed production volume, connected by a green roof beneath which supporting amenities for employees are located.

The project envisions the establishment of a new public and social axis, incorporating green and recreational zones that integrate the campus itself. Although a private initiative, the campus is designed without conventional barriers or fences.

The new office building is designed around two enclosed multi-story atriums of distinct character, featuring an auditorium for presentations and a green space for relaxation and independent work. Sunlight and lighting studies determined the proportions of glazing and solid walls on the façade. A distinctive cantilevered roof element is shaped based on the angle of sunlight incidence, allowing unobstructed outward views while following the curved contours of the façade.

With over a thousand employees and visitors expected within the complex, a crucial aspect of the design is the planning of movement paths for different types of users. The flow of goods follows efficient routes, while visitors move at a slower pace, gradually discovering the campus. The internal road within the campus can also transform into a racetrack for special occasions.

The production facility spans over 75,000 square meters, enabling serial production from individual components to the final product. The production building is conceived as a factory showroom - where manufacturing processes are visible through glass displays, becoming part of tours and presentations.
A key design element is a continuous profiled metal façade stretching a total of one kilometer. By avoiding sharp corners in the design, there is no conventional division between the front and back—every side is equally important. Aluminum cladding was chosen for its lightweight properties and ease of assembly on the façade, allowing for smooth curvature at the edges. The clarity of the building’s envelope ensures the seamless accommodation of all dynamic processes occurring within.

Rimac Campus merges advanced technology with the natural environment, creating a dynamic space that embraces change and adapts to future developments, with a strong emphasis on sustainability and the integration of technology, nature, and community.
