Hotel Helios

Hotel Helios is a contemporary, high end comprehensive spa&health resort embedded into the rich greenery of the protected park forest of Čikat Bay in Mali Lošinj.
The concept recognizes natural qualities and cultural potential of the location. A holistic approach to the synergic circular relationship of five basic elements of nature and transformations of life energy (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water) served as inspiration for connecting all segments of the resort with the environment. The concept of the natural cycle of life generated the idea of a circle, which resulted in the circular floor plan - giving the hotel the ideal holistic form.
 

The interior design is permeated with principles of harmony thus optimizing the relationship between space and the people who inhabit it. Each content unit has a specific vibration contained in the perception and feel of the atmosphere that prevails in it. Cedar wood panels, differently processed stone surfaces and sepia shades applied in the wellness area create an atmosphere of relaxation. In restaurants, black wood, light colored bricks, brass and finely structured textiles give a sense of wellbeing and pleasure. Light stone, oak wood parquets, woven carpets and linen curtains create an air of intimacy. At the same time, careful selection of materials secures individuality and differentiation in each unit. However, there are no „better” or „worse“ rooms or views - all units were treated equally.
