Marko Dabrović will be one of the participants in the debate “Beyond Algorithms: The Human Touch in AI – Enhanced Architecture”, taking place as part of the BIG Architecture 2025 Festival on May 22 in Portorož, Slovenia.
The debate is organized within the framework of the BIG SEE platform and brings together leading experts to examine the increasingly prominent role of artificial intelligence (AI) in architectural practice. Through three key topics — AI in early planning and site analysis, AI in understanding and contextualizing architectural elements, and generative techniques in design — the discussion will focus on sharing experiences, visions, and challenges related to the integration of AI technologies into the creative and technical processes of architecture.
AI is already significantly transforming the way architects think, plan, and design: from automated drafting and structural stability analysis to optimizing costs, resources, and timelines through BIM integration. However, the core of the debate will also address broader questions — how to preserve the authenticity of architectural expression, prevent generic outcomes, and reflect on the ethical and philosophical implications of the growing use of artificial intelligence.
Participating in this debate is an opportunity for us to exchange ideas and contribute to shaping the future of architecture — one where technology does not replace creativity, but enhances it, giving architects more room for innovation and thoughtful design. Read more on the following LINK
