Marko Dabrović, partner at Studio 3LHD, took part in the panel discussion “Flexibility and Resilience – The Future of Construction”, held as part of the first Lider Construction Conference “Building the Future”, which took place on June 6 at the Westin Hotel in Zagreb.
The conference brought together leading experts, entrepreneurs, and representatives of institutions from the construction sector. Through a series of lectures and panel discussions, key topics shaping the future of the industry were addressed — from spatial planning and infrastructure to EU funding, sustainable materials and construction practices, building certification methodologies, and the growing shortage of skilled labour.
Joining Dabrović on the panel were Hrvoje Krapanić (Green Building Council Croatia) and Neven Mikec (VMD), with the discussion moderated by Antonija Knežević (Lider). The conversation focused on sustainability, climate resilience, and affordable housing, with special attention to the practical challenges of implementing green building principles.
Dabrović emphasized the importance of thoughtful architectural design that balances housing quality with environmental responsibility, and highlighted the need for a clearer regulatory framework to support the broader regeneration of brownfield sites as a sustainable model for urban development.
