The Mulini Beach project has won the CEMEX Building Award 2015 in the Infrastructure buildings category in Croatia. As the project-winner from Croatia, it will represent the country on the international XXIV CEMEX Building Award competition to be held in Mexico by the end of 2015. Mulini Beach is the extension of the Rovinj public spaces; it is a natural continuation of the promenade maximally adapted to the sea as a variable element. In judging the projects these elements are taken into account: their performance, purpose and application of concrete, innovative proposals for the use of concrete, architectural design, urban concept, respect for the environment and structural design. In the process of developing a concrete mix for the beach 27 samples were made; together with Cemex and the contractor 3LHD has developed the recipe and the final built result completely corresponds to the designed project.
