Marko Dabrović at the 29th Tourism Discussions on Climate Change and the Hotel Industry

16. September 2026

3LHD partner Marko Dabrović will participate as a panelist at the 29th Tourism Discussions on 17 September 2026 at 2 p.m. at HKD Napredak in Zagreb. This year’s topic is “Hotel Industry and Climate Change - From Risks to Smart Investments”.

The discussion brings together leading experts from the hotel industry, architecture, and investment. Alongside Marko, the panel will include Burak Baykan, Regional Director of Dogus Group for Southeast Europe, and Dr. Cindy Heo from the renowned Swiss EHL Hospitality Business School.

The conversation will focus on the concrete challenges that climate change brings to the hotel industry: from rising temperatures and droughts to pressures on water resources and increasing energy costs. Panelists will discuss whether the Croatian hotel industry can maintain the same value for investors and guests while the climatic conditions, on which much of the traditional offer is based, are rapidly changing.

A key question will also be whether today’s hotels are being designed for the climate that awaits us and what the return on investment is in this context. Participation in the discussion is free and open to everyone working in tourism, architecture, investment or the public sector, as well as to anyone interested in sustainable development and adaptation to climate change.
