Department of Urban Planning, Construction, Municipal Affairs and Environment Protection of the Virovitica-Podravina County issued a Certificate for the main project (building permit) for the reconstruction (upgrade and conversion) of the Jankovic Manor into a business building (hotel), redevelopment of the freezer into a wine tasting room and the reconstruction of the nearby chapel. The preparation of documentation for the application of EU tenders to ensure full funding for the reconstruction and rehabilitation of the castle is in motion. The Janković Manor has a rank of protected cultural heritage, while the historic park where the manor is located is protected as a natural landscape object and a monument of garden architecture. In order to stop further deterioration of this valuable cultural property, it will be restored and renovated into a hotel. Restoration of the manor and its new functions will return the importance which was lost back to the manor and will affect the promotion of Suhopolje in which it is located, as well as the further development of the local community.
