The project of reconstruction of the old Cinema Urania into our new office space was a great challenge for us. At the same time, we were thrilled by the idea of moving to a former cinema. Despite its age, the building has good predispositions to be adapted, converted and reused into a new office and public space. We kept three of the four original building volumes; the three storey entrance foyer and office building, the big lobby and the spectacular main double height cinema hall. The only new addition is the glass pavilion, which originally served as an entrance space of the cinema. In addition to our office, we want to create a place in Urania that brings architecture closer to a wider audience - through exhibitions, lectures and various events. That's why we founded the Urania association, run by Vanja Daskalović and Tena Razumović Žmara, cultural managers with almost twenty years of experience.
