The theme of this years' Day of architects in Ljubljana is "Ex YU Today" and contemporary architecture on the territory of the former Yugoslavia. Founded on the post-World War II anti-fascist struggle, Yugoslavia, with the help of architects, designers and engineers, created an architectural model which, despite the diversity of styles in construction, have common denominators: affordable housing, new civic and social institutions, public spaces, tourist infrastructure, etc., and above all the distinctive authorial poetics of late modernism architecture. What is happening in these areas (and countries) today?
The program features interesting lectures and events and one of the speakers is Saša Begović, who will give a lecture named "Echoes of Modernism" and present 3LHD projects related to our modernist history.
