The concept design of Hotel Valkane in Pula was presented to the public. It is located on the site of a former quarry, east of the cities swimming pool. The hotel building restores the ambient and design values of the natural landscape to the devastated part of the peninsula. The floors rest on the rock, with the entrance located at the upper level of the former quarry. A park with a wellness and spa area is located between the hotel and the road by the sea. The broken line of the facade formed by repeating of the accommodation unit module reinterprets the steps of the quarry. A green facade rehabilitates the damaged landscape and creates new greenery in the city.
