Oris Award 2012

On the 12th annual Days of Oris, in front of more than 2000 architects and present colleagues from home and abroad, 3LHD received the Oris award 2012 for outstanding creative contribution to architecture. The award was presented by the main patron of Days of Oris, the Croatian president Ivo Josipović and Branko Vojnović, the owner of Zagrebgradnja, this years? main sponsor of the event. Hotel Lone, the first Design Hotel AG in Croatia, is situated in Rovinj?s most attractive tourist zone, in a unique and protected region of the Monte Mulini forest in the Lone bay. It was created by a team of new generation renowned Croatian creatives as a space that nurtures the concept of interesting and functional design. The Architects from studio 3LHD were responsible for the design and construction of the hotel building. In addition to the overall architecture, the interiors and the furniture were designed and chosen especially for the hotel in order to achieve a distinct and recognizable identity. The Oris award was established in 2009 by the editorial board of Oris magazine, as an award for creative contribution and deliberation of architecture. The crystal pyramid was designed by Alvaro Siza. It is awarded as a part of the Days of Oris symposium.
