Holidays after the fall Graz

Project of Hotel Lone will be presented on an exhibition "Holidays after the fall" opening on October 17th in the HDA gallery (Graz House of Architecture) in Graz. The exhibition offers a genealogy of large-scale tourist resorts at the Adriatic coast, their transformations after the des-integration of former Yugoslavia, the end of socialist self-management and the beginning of privatization. Today, depending on their location and engagement of their new owners, these projects, many of them of high quality, are either sadly ruins, or subtly refurbished or - just a few of them - significantly upgraded or newly constructed. Curators of the exhibition are architectural theorist and artist Michael Zinganel and critic Maroje Mrduljaš.
